Label and briefly the elements in the Revit User interface.

1.File tab

The File tab provides access to common file actions, such as New, Open, and Save. It also allows you to manage files using more advanced tools, such as Export and Publish.

2.Quick access

The Quick Access toolbar contains a set of default tools. You can customize this toolbar to display the tools that you use most often.

3.InfoCenter

InfoCenter provides a set of tools that enable you to access many product-related information sources.

4.Option Tab

The Options Tab is located below the ribbon. It displays conditional tools dependent on the current tool or selected element.

5.Tab Select

The Tab Selector identifies the currently selected family type and provides a drop-down from which you can select a different type.

6.Poperties           Pallet

The Properties palette lets you view and modify parameters for selected elements. If no element is selected, it displays the properties of the current view. The palette appears by default to the left of the drawing area above the Project Browser.

7.Project               Browers

Located on the lower left of your Revit screen, the Project Browser acts as a table of contents for your project. Use it to navigate and open views of the model. You can organize, sort, filter, and customize the Project Browser to support your workflow.

8.Status Bar

The status bar provides tips or hints on what to do. When you highlight an element or component, the status bar displays the name of the family and type.

9.View Bar

The View Control bar is located in the lower-left corner of each drawing area window. The View Control bar serves several different purposes to control the graphical view of each window. The following features of the View Control bar work from left to right. When you click on the zoom text, a pop-up menu will appear that allows you to change the zoom of the view. One of the great things about Revit is that when you change the scale of a view, the annotations and symbols are automatically adjusted. You don't have to worry about the scale factor or adjusting the text size or size ratio.

The View Control Bar provides quick access to functions that affect the current view.

10.Drawing             area

The drawing area displays views (and sheets and schedules) of the current model. Each time you open a view in a model, the view displays in the drawing area.

11.Ribbon

The ribbon displays when you create or open a file. It provides all the tools necessary to create a project or family.
